The game’s storyline picks up from the drone strikes of 2025 in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Set between 2065 and 2070, the battlefield is dominated by advanced technology. The Campaign mode, available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC, allows players to access all missions from the start and play them in any order without any repercussions.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III features ground combat with combat robots and drones fighting alongside human infantry. Elite Black Ops soldiers are equipped with a direct neural interface (DNI) that allows them to control robotics and network-connected weaponry, as well as other cybernetic bio-augmentations like super-powered prosthetic limbs.
The game allows up to four players to experience the story simultaneously, with larger environments and open area battles. The Campaign mode also boasts a new animation system and updated enemy A.I, providing a more immersive gaming experience.
Additionally, the Zombies Chronicles content expansion offers 8 remastered classic Zombies maps from previous Call of Duty games. The game also includes 20 Vials of Liquid Divinium, 2 All-New Whimsical GobbleGums, 5 Zombies Pack-A-Punch Weapon Camos, and several maps from Call of Duty: World at War, Black Ops, and Black Ops II.
