KeeperRL: Game Overview

KeeperRL is a unique blend of dungeon simulation, role-playing, and roguelike elements, where you step into the shoes of a wicked wizard. Your mission is to master the dark arts, equip your underlings, and venture into the world to wreak havoc on unsuspecting villagers and their homes. Construct your own dungeon, set up traps, and brace yourself for the onslaught of vengeful heroes.

When you take command of your minions, the game morphs into a traditional roguelike, featuring turn-based, strategic combat. Alternatively, you can choose to play as an adventurer, challenging dungeons created by you or other players.

As you delve deeper into the mountain, you’ll construct a myriad of rooms, corridors, and traps. Your minions will hone their skills and manufacture weapons and armor. You’ll have the opportunity to torture prisoners and delve into new technologies such as alchemy, beast mutation, and magic.

The game world is intricately detailed. Creatures utilize equipment and consumable items, and there’s a wealth of special items, spells, attributes, and special attacks to discover. Engage in brutal combat, decapitating and maiming your foes, or use poison and blindness to your advantage. But beware, if you’re reckless with fire, you could end up burning down an entire forest or your own dungeon.

KeeperRL boasts a vast, procedurally generated world. Explore a multitude of locations, from humble cottages and shops to formidable enemies residing in castles and dungeons. Unearth secrets, bring back valuable loot and prisoners to your base, and watch as your power grows.
