The game also features a mission control where you have to tackle various turn-based challenges to earn scientific advancements and public support. You can recreate famous missions conducted by renowned space agencies like NASA, ESA, and CNSA. These include missions like the Perseverance Rover, Ingenuity Helicopter, Zhurong Rover, and Rosetta space probe missions.

Mars Horizon offers an extensive tech tree and the opportunity to either compete or collaborate with other agencies to plan your journey to Mars. You can choose from five unique space agencies, each with their own traits, base, vehicles, and spacecraft. The game also features a fully-customizable Sandbox Mode, where you can build with unlimited freedom.
