Scars Above: Game Overview

Scars Above is an intense sci-fi action-adventure game that challenges you with its third-person shooter gameplay. It blends the satisfaction of overcoming tough obstacles with an engaging and complex narrative, all set within an intriguing alien world waiting to be discovered.

The game begins when a massive, puzzling alien structure, known as ‘The Metahedron’, appears in Earth’s orbit, leaving humanity in awe. A team of scientists and engineers, called the Sentient Contact Assessment and Response (SCAR), is dispatched to investigate. However, things take a turn when the team is transported across space to an unknown extrasolar planet.

You play as Dr Kate Ward, a SCAR member who finds herself alone and disoriented in a strange and hostile world. Despite being a scientist and an astronaut, not a soldier, Kate is determined to survive. She sets out to locate her crew and uncover the truth behind the mysterious events.

The game requires you to use a mix of ranged weapons, devices, consumables, and melee attacks. You must manage your stamina as you run, dodge, and exploit enemy weak points. Crafting items and gadgets will help you face the numerous threats on this alien planet.

Scars Above is a beautifully designed adventure, drawing inspiration from classic sci-fi. The alien world is filled with stunning landscapes, ancient ruins, and a variety of threats.
